About the PTO

The FIS PTO is a partnership between our educators and families, working together to enhance learning and enrich the lives of every student. Decades of research show that strong parent involvement is one of the greatest predictors of student success—and our PTO is committed to creating opportunities for families to stay connected and engaged.

Our Goals

• Promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school and community
• Raise the standards of home life
• Bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth
• Develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, and social education.

How We Support FIS

The PTO provides critical programs, funding, and volunteer support, including:

• Purchasing accessible playground equipment

• Funding teacher wish lists

• Organizing and supporting science labs

• Hosting monthly staff appreciation lunches

• Beautifying and improving school grounds

• Planning and coordinating school-wide events such as the Fun Run, Variety Show, Contests, and Family Fun Night

• Assisting with after-school enrichment

• Coordinating the Giving Tree

• …and much more!

When you join the PTO, 100% of your membership dues stay at FIS. The funds we raise directly support our students, teachers, and school.
